Hi-poly render test

Long time no post since I've been doing some freelance work. Weird looking at this blog since I don't post my finished work on here.

But anyway I got recommended to try max for my hi poly renders as appose to zBrush. I think I just leveled up doing so.

There are so many things I see that I could make better, yet I don't know the render settings. So I will definitely have to experiment a lot more. I might also try rendering the final in unreal to try something new since most of my props are rendered in toolbag2

Column

Working on my third and final prop. Every time I finish a part I look at the rest of my reference and say not even half done. I hope this comes out looking awesome.

And here is the reference.

The bake of my second prop Greek prop. Once I finish the minor baking issues, I can finish this before next week and start my final prop. I got about two an a half weeks left to finish to have my time to finish updating my portfolio. So hopefully all goes well.

So Sony Santa Monica is doing an internship and the deadline is next month so I decided to put my column on hold to make some some in there art style. This is 1 of the 3 assets I will be making. A very ornate tiling trim texture.

First Procedural Texture

So I dived in into substance designer and I'm loving it. It is procedural, but it has some artistic flavor to it. Just made a simple brick texture with some edge damage. Albeto are fun to do since you can achieve a lot of color variation easily.
